Account Manager

Aboutscan.com is a Information Technology solution company that integrates data center technologies from leading providers such as VMware, HP, IBM, Symantec, Microsoft, and Redhat into our customers’ environments. We provide complete solutions enabling our customers to carry out their technical and business requirements. We are looking for an Account Manager to interact with clients ranging from small "Mom and Pop shops" to publicly traded enterprise accounts. This is a commisioned position with potential equity stake.

Required skills and experience:

• Proven ability to sell into enterprise datacenter environments
• Good general understanding of datacenter technology and trends
• Experience cold calling / prospecting for new business
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to manage relationships with varied personality types
• Good understanding of MS Office products and Internet usage

Job responsibilities include:

• Prospect, qualify, and solicit business opportunities in the Silicon Valley / SF bay area
• Generate and present sales proposals
• Manage sales cycle from purchase order to collection of payment
• Maintain positive working relationship with vendor partners
• Collaborate with different groups within the company to achieve company objectives
• Participate in vendor meetings and events

Technology Consultant

We are looking for Technology Consultants to work in partnership with clients to accomplish business challenges through the application of technology.

Required skills and experience:

• Strong understanding of datacenter technology and trends
• Expertise and/or certification in one or more of the following Operating System and Technology areas:
1. Microsoft Windows Server Operating System
2. Redhat Linux or Linux Operating System
3. Sun Solaris Operating System
4. VMware ESX, ACE, Lab Manager, Fusion
5. Storage, SAN, ILM and Backup
6. Server platforms (e.g. HP, IBM, etc.)
7. Symantec product suites (Netbackup, Enterprise Vault, Veritas Storage Foundation)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to manage relationships with varied personality types
